Surbiton Junior Chess Club – Join the Chess Knights!

Welcome to the Surbiton Junior Chess Club, the home of the Chess Knights! We are proudly supported by Jolly Good Chess and dedicated to providing a fun, engaging, and highly instructive environment for young players. Our motto is Where Strategy Meets Fun!, and we believe that learning chess should be an exciting journey. Whether your child is new to the game or already an aspiring champion, our sessions are designed to help them develop critical thinking, master essential tactics, and learn crucial sportsmanship skills.

Who Can Join?

We welcome junior players of all skill levels. If you want to learn the moves or are looking for weekly competitive play, you'll find your place with the Chess Knights.

All Surrey and Thames Valley League Games and the Club Championship Games are graded by the English Chess Federation and count towards a National ECF grading

When and Where We Meet:

• When: Every Wednesday in term time, from 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM.
• Where: Fircroft, 96 Ditton Road, Surbiton, KT6 6HB.

Free parking in Rickards Close, directly opposite the venue (if spaces not available at the venue)

Fees and Membership:

To join the Surbiton Junior Chess Club, the costs are as follows:

• Weekly Session Fee: £9.00 per child, payable weekly on a pay-as-you-go basis during term time.
• Annual Membership Fee: A one-time annual club membership fee of £30.00 is required to secure your place, cover administrative costs, and provide access to club-exclusive resources.
