A special event was held on 6th March 2013 at Fircroft. The agenda included presentations by Nick Pelling on “Swindling”, Steve Kearney on “Good tournament practices” and Paul Durrant on “A classic Capablanca game”. Feedback after the event indicated that it was well received and that future events of this nature should be run 3-4 times/annum, so that is what we will endeavour to do.

All club members were provided with .pgn files, including all of the games presented as well as a copy of Steve's informative presentation. We have not published that material on this website as its one of the benefits of being a member of Surbiton Chess Club. Fancy joining us?
